How Does It Work?

All orders are handmade right here in the USA and are direct to Consumer. Each item is hand made, each letter is hand set individually, and each chain is made to order. Every item is unique for you. Please allow 3-5 days business days (the shop is closed on weekends/holidays) for all orders to be processed, created, and packed for shipping.

 

When Will My Item Ship?

DOMESTIC - I ship every business day via USPS Priority Flat Rate (excluding weekends and holidays).  Please allow 3-5 days business days for all orders to be processed, created, and packed for shipping. Once Once your package ships we will send an email with a link to track your order. Once shipped all orders shipped through Priority Mail will arrive between 1-3 Days.  You can check the status of your order by logging into your account.

For example, if an order is made on a Monday it will need 3 days to be created, and then it will be shipped on Wednesday or Thursday.  Depending on where you are located it will arrive by Friday or Tuesday the latest.  Every item is handmade for you!  The best things in life take that extra love to make them perfect!

INTERNATIONAL - All items are shipped with in 3-5 days of purchase, and international Priority shipping is 6-10 days.  It all depends on your location for exact delivery.  You can check the status of your order by logging into your account.

Please Note - Buyer's are responsible for any and all Custom fee's, import duties and taxes, as they are not included in my shipping charges. Check with your country’s customs office to determine costs.

RUSH PROCESSING & 1 DAY EXPEDITED SHIPPING - This option is available with restrictions.  Please note all orders must be placed by 12pm to have order ship within same day.  All orders ship via Express 1 Day Priority Mail, a signature is required for all deliveries.  All orders placed after 12pm will be shipped the next business day.  This does not apply for Custom Handwriting Necklaces, due to the approval process.  Please note this only applies Monday-Friday, as The Urban Smith is closed over the Weekends.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions before you order, I am always willing to work with my customers!

Unfortunately we are unable to process any orders over the phone.  This is for insurance purposes to ensure information is accurately input by the customer and to avoid any miscommunication over the phone.  We understand you may have questions or maybe something was entered by mistake.  In these events please email us:  theurbansmithcontact@gmail.com.  We will get back to you Monday - Friday between 10am - 7pm PST.

Canceling or Changing An Order?

Any online order with normal shipping can be cancelled within 24 hours of order via email -theurbansmithcontact@gmail.com .  Any order cancelled post shipping and prior to receipt will be treated as a returned order, with customer being responsible for returning shipping and insurance charges, and condition of the merchandise for return.  See below for return policies.

Returns?

All custom orders are non refundable.

All other orders can be returned or exchanged within 14 days. All returns will be credited once product is returned to seller.  Shipping charges are non-refundable.

Exchanges are available for most stock items (unless it is a custom item). You must contact me within 14 Days of receiving your item if you wish to exchange it.

Return Authorization:  email us at service theurbansmithcontact@gmail.com to let us know that you would like to return your item. Returns will not be accepted without prior authorization.

To received return authorization, please see the below questions and information regarding all returns.  

1- Please note all custom orders are non refundable.  Stock items can be returned or exchanged within 14 Days from Shipping.

2- Please state reason for return via email

3-Products must be returned in the original box and/or packaging.  

4- All returns must include the Order #, customer email, contact, and return/exchange Instructions from the customer

5- Returns will not be accepted without prior authorization

Packaging Your Return:  Safely package the item you are returning, and include all original packaging, the invoice, and any exchange information. For security reasons do not write jewelry on the box.  Return shipping costs are paid by the customer.

When Is The Urban Smith Open?

The Urban Smith is open and Smithing Monday - Friday from 10am - 7pm.  The Shop is closed on the weekends, and all orders are created during regular business hours Monday - Friday.

What is Gold Filled?

Gold-filled is a lifetime product because the gold layer bonded to the base metal core is quite thick.  All items from The Urban Smith are 14K Double Clad Gold Filled.  Gold Filled is not a plated product, it is bonded to a strengthening base metal (jewelers brass, which is hypo allergenic), and creates a strong and beautiful product that has an Heirloom lifespan which is 200 years!

All Urban Smith products are made from solid 14K Double Clad Gold Filled materials made in the USA.  You can shower, swim, and never take it off.  I even swim in chlorine in mine!  Gold Filled products will never tarnish.  Dirt and lotions can cause a filmy build up in the front and back, but it can easily be removed with a clean cloth or buffed with a polishing cloth.  

What is Gold Vermeil?

Gold Vermeil is solid sterling silver that has been heavy gold-plated in 24K Gold.  Offering both the beauty of 24-karat gold and the value of precious metal. The pieces made of sterling silver are heavily plated with a 40-mil thick layer of pure 24-karat gold--a far more substantial layer than traditional plating.  A Vermeil piece of jewelry is made entirely of precious metals, which gives each piece it's beauty and high quality.

How Do I Care for my new Product?

Gold Filled: The Urban Smith uses solid 14K 14/20 Double Clad Gold Filled made in the USA.  Dirt and lotions can cause a filmy build up in the front and back or the chain, but it can easily be removed with a clean cloth or buffed with a polishing cloth.
Sterling Silver:  The Urban Smith uses 100% Solid Sterling Silver made in the USA.  Sterling Silver can be a little more of a temperamental metal than the gold. Sterling Silver can be highly reactive to the secretion of salt in your bodily fluids.  Every person has a different level of salt and acid in their skins, so silver can react differently to each person.  When wearing in the shower, please dry off the necklace to reduce oxidation.  Silver polishing cloths or cleaning solutions work great to keep the beautiful shine of your new product.
Gold Vermeil:  Gold vermeil is a layer of gold over solid sterling silver, and requires a little care and attention.  Always remove your gold vermeil jewelry when applying scents, lotions, and potions.  The Urban Smith uses solid pure 24K gold to plate over solid sterling silver.  Clean with a soft cloth or lightly buff with a polishing cloth.

Payment?

The Urban Smith accepts Paypal and all Major Credit / Debit Cards.  All items are payed through PayPal secure Credit Card Check out.  All payments are backed by Paypal-Pro Merchant Secure payments, a paypal account is not required.  You can check out as a Guest or Create an account when checking out.  An Account is the best options, so you can track your order and check shipping easily, but an account is not required.

Vouchers & Discount Codes : 

Most of our discount codes are single use codes.  They can be used once per customer, and may be entered at the final check out page.  These codes can not be applied retroactively, they must be applied at the time of purchase.
